Write down your questions
Note what you would like to discuss and any features you want to keep. You do not need to choose a treatment before your consultation.
Bring useful information
Prepare a list of your skin-care products and previous aesthetic treatments. Discuss health conditions, medicines and allergies through the clinical consultation process. Keep your first message to appointment enquiries; ask your practitioner how to share medical records or photographs securely.
Check who will treat you
Ask who will assess you and who would perform the procedure. Check their role, relevant qualifications and experience. If they state a professional registration, ask which register you can use to verify it. A training photograph alone does not establish their suitability.
Ask about the proposed treatment
Which product or device would be used, and why? What are the risks and limitations? What are the alternatives, including having no treatment? Ask for any unfamiliar terms to be explained.
Confirm the full cost
Check what the quotation includes and whether consultations, reviews or further appointments cost extra. Ask about cancellations and rescheduling. Mention any important events, but do not assume a guaranteed recovery date.
Take time to decide
Ask how to raise further questions and how to book if you decide to proceed. You can wait or decide against treatment. Sending a website enquiry does not confirm an appointment or commit you to a procedure.
